Per Stirling Volunteers! – Continuing efforts to help the Community

Per Stirling’s Volunteer Initiative for May focused efforts on helping our community in a time of need. These unprecedented times have lasted far longer than any of us had anticipated, creating an even stronger need for support within our community.

Per Stirling Advisor, Katherine Zamora and her family, made face masks for all of Per Stirling’s staff and spouses. Staff & advisors at Per Stirling also made additional monetary donations to the Central Texas Food Bank and Hays Food Bank.

“COVID-19 is like nothing we have ever experienced…The number of first-time clients increased by 86 percent from March to April, demonstrating continued growth in need… Between our network of 260 pantry partners, Mobile Food Pantry distributions and programs, last month we distributed 5,703,433 lbs. of food—the most we have ever distributed..” – Central Texas Food Bank

One of our Advisors also adopted a puppy from the Bastrop County Animal Shelter. New pet adoptions during quarantine not only help the local animal shelters, some of which were forced to close their doors, but also offers a way to help ease the feeling of isolation.

Per Stirling’s community initiative for June extended our efforts towards helping our community. The firm opened up the volunteer initiative to all advisors and staff to select an organization that was near and dear to our hearts. In a single month, Per Stirling is excited to announce that Advisors and Staff combined donated over $4,000 in funds towards Feeding America, UNICEF, ACLU, Foundation Communities and the Austin Urban League!

During the month of July, we plan to continue our efforts in helping the community as a whole during this pandemic. We know that we are all able to make a difference where we can and plan to continue our efforts towards organizations that mean something to each and every one of us. There’s no shortage of opportunities for each of us to help in substantial ways.
