Private Wealth Client Relationship Manager
Steve Cartwright joins Per Stirling as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 25 years of industry experience as he assumes the role of Private Wealth Client Relationship Manager. In this capacity, he is instrumental in enhancing the services offered to Per Stirling’s Private Wealth Clients. His passion lies in fostering deep relationships with clients as he guides them through their unique life circumstances to help them achieve their goals. Drawing from his extensive financial services experience and the profound knowledge base at Per Stirling, he provides competent, ethical, and comprehensive financial planning advice to the clients we serve.
During his career, Cartwright dedicated over a decade to collaborating with active traders at various brokerage firms, where his roles encompassed sales, business development, the oversight of multiple day trading offices, options/futures trading, and leading sales teams. In 2004, he transitioned to Charles Schwab, where he held the position of managing director within the Investor Development organization until his departure in September 2019. He then joined Ascensus, where he led a team of consultants specializing in Retirement Plan Administration.
Born and raised in Kansas, Cartwright pursued his education with a basketball scholarship at Hutchinson Junior College. Following this, he attended The University of Incarnate Word, also on a basketball scholarship, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He holds licenses including FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 57, 63 and 65.
Outside of work, Steve cherishes spending quality time with his family. He and his Australian wife share a love for travel. He has four wonderful boys, with two currently in college. He remains actively engaged in his younger children’s activities, attending various sporting events, trips to pools, and visits to parks. During his leisure moments, you might find him swimming with a local masters swim team, exploring the numerous hiking trails in Austin, or tending to tomato plants in his backyard garden.
