Gary Montgomery enjoys helping his clients visualize and understand their financial goals. He is well versed in assisting clients with financial decisions that occur throughout their lifetime, such as early retirement, pension timing, tax planning, education planning and portfolio investment. As a fiduciary, he has spent many years helping his clients chart a course to achieve their financial goals by specializing in wealth management and fee-only portfolio services.
Gary developed his financial expertise during his 30-year career in business and international business, including overseas assignments with Motorola Japan, Fujitsu and AMD, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, evaluating companies, and multiparty negotiations. His breadth of background in technology business, patents, and engineering provides a broader perspective than many others in the industry.
Gary completed his MBA Options II course work and obtained his CFP TM at the University of Texas, where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in the MBA program. Gary was also a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point NY where he earned his BS in Engineering and went on to become the Head of Motorola Semiconductor in Japan.
He later founded and served as President of Wealth Security LLC, an Independent Registered Investment Advisor. In 2021, Gary joined Per Stirling to form one of the fastest growing firms in Central Texas. As a Partner at Per Stirling, he is committed to serving his clients with the highest levels of ethics and professional expertise.
When not taking care of his clients, Gary enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and being on the lake. In his spare time, he loves to learn about the economies of other cultures and then travel to experience those cultures firsthand.
