Marty Katrein, is a 35+ year veteran of the financial industry, who founded Retirement Consulting Services in 1995 as a specialty financial firm that focused primarily on designing and managing portfolios that were specifically designed to help clients reach their retirement goals. Despite this specialization, Marty has always understood that financial advice is more than numbers and spreadsheets, it’s also about listening to concerns and finding solutions.
Marty successfully built Retirement Consulting Services into one of the largest independent investment advisory firms in north Texas.
In 1971, Marty graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Finance.
Marty proudly served our country for two years as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and went on to get a Masters in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University.
Marty and his wife, Susan, married in 1986. They have two adult sons, Michael and Stephen. Michael has followed his father into the investment advisory profession, while Stephen graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and is currently a Captain stationed in San Antonio.
Whether it’s a walk through the zoo, in the parks, or on the golf course, Marty & his family enjoy spending time outdoors. They also believe that visits to art and science museums always add a new perspective to life.
