Richard Hallum has twenty-seven years of experience as a wealth manager, and joined the Per Stirling team as a Partner in 2017. Richard earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1998, and is a member of both the Financial Planning Association and the Financial Services Institute.
Being a wealth manager comes very naturally to Richard, as it allows him to combine together his strength as a problem-solver, with his passion for planning and investment management, and his interest in helping people. Richard combines these attributes to create a roadmap for his clients that is specifically designed to help them to achieve their unique goals and objectives.
Richard brings his attention and compassion to client conversations, learning what clients want to accomplish and then recommending a course of action to help his clients to both pursue their goals and address their financial challenges. To this end, Richard works very closely with his clients, who include both families and small businesses.
He also extends that team-based philosophy to his community, where he has served on the staff parish relations committee at the First United Methodist Church of Round Rock and as a former meet director for the Forest Area Swim Team.
Richard has also served as a member of the site-based committee for Forest Creek Elementary School, and as a member of the City of Round Rock’s General Obligation Bond Task Force and Golf Course Advisory Committee. Richard is also a former President of the Forest Creek Homeowners Association, and a former member of the finance committee for his church.
Richard graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and a major in Finance.
Richard is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, ranching and the occasional game of golf. He and his wife, Ashley, have three children.
