AugustPer Stirling Volunteers! – Ruby’s Rainbow
This July, Per Stirling’s community initiative focus was on Ruby’s Rainbow, an Austin-based, non-profit organization that supports and provides scholarships to adult students with Down syndrome. This service helps students to pursue their dreams of higher education through scholarships, and by making colleges aware of “[the students’] capabilities and general awesomeness!”
Since 2012, Ruby’s Rainbow has awarded 480 college scholarships valued at $1,556,000. The recipients go on to attend different colleges and universities all around the country, including many flagship schools!
Ruby’s Rainbow cites kindness, community, integrity, inclusion, education, and inspiration as the core values that have helped it grow into the organization it is today. Knowing these funds are helping disadvantaged students accomplish their dreams, it lifts up the heart to see the impact these scholarships have on the students’ futures.
Due to the limitations on volunteerism imposed by the ongoing pandemic, Per Stirling’s support came in the form of monetary donations to their scholarship fund. Click Here to learn more about Ruby’s Rainbow and the important work that they do.
