SeptemberPer Stirling’s 2022 Shred Event
Most individuals and businesses know how important it is to retain certain financial and legal documents, but also understand that stockpiling sensitive information for too long can pose a security issue, or even breach compliance regulations in today’s privacy-conscious world. To assist with this issue, Per Stirling has continued its tradition of hosting “shred days”, during which our clients can safely dispose of these important documents.
Our latest annual shred event was hosted on Friday, September 9th, at the Westlake office location. Per usual, we had our on-site shredding truck made available along with a Certificate of Destruction, which specifies the exact date and method used to destroy your documents.
In addition to providing a venue for secure document destruction, this was our second year to accept electronic devices to be properly handled and destroyed by secure off-site personnel, in accordance with standard electronic destruction procedures. We plan to continue including this service in future shred events. Of note, it is important to wipe your sensitive data from your electronic devices prior to submitting them for destruction.
Over 50 clients attended the most recent event, and took the opportunity to shred everything from boxes of documents to a van full of important papers. In addition, everyone enjoyed the appropriately-themed shredded barbecue sandwiches from Texas Honey Ham.
We were very pleased with the attendance and participation of our clients at this event, and are looking forward to the next one! Next year’s shred event will be hosted at the Per Stirling North Austin location off Spicewood Springs! Be on the lookout for our next Shred Party invitation!
