MayPer Stirling Volunteers! – Big Brothers Big Sisters
For its April community initiative, Per Stirling elected to donate funds in support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Central Texas’ 2023 Bowl for Kids event. This fundraising event benefits local children, providing them with transformative mentoring relationships that can positively impact their lives forever. With a 90’s theme, the event saw the participation of 58 bowling teams, and surpassed BBBS’ target of $100,000 in funds raised.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas exists to help children succeed in life. We do this by matching children ages 6 and above with caring adults who serve as mentors, advocates, resources, and guides. Volunteers commit to meeting with their Littles 3 to 4 times per month for a minimum of one year. Our professional staff are there every step of the way to solve problems and support each match’s success. BBBS serves approximately 1,000 children in Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties each year. Our proven model of one-to-one mentoring helps kids build the skills and capacities that lead to lifelong success. – credit to bigmentoring.org
While Per Stirling opted to not field a team this year, we were delighted to contribute to the nonprofit organization’s objective. Per Stirling advisors and employees rallied together and managed to raise close to $1,000 for this month’s cause.
Looking ahead to May, our focus will shift towards supporting Austin Pets Alive!
