DecemberPer Stirling Volunteers! – Central Texas Food Bank
During the holiday season, a time when family gatherings take center stage in our lives, members of our community continue to face challenges in providing meals for their loved ones. Complicating matters is that this year’s significant surge in food prices, coupled with a growing demand for food, has also placed a significant burden on the resources of the Central Texas Food Bank.
In response, and for the fourth consecutive year, Per Stirling focused its November Community Initiative on giving to those in need of food this holiday season, through our support of this important charitable institution. Per Stirling participated in the Corporate Challenge again this year, working in conjunction with other Austin area companies to raise awareness of this ongoing need, and to feed as many families as possible.
In 2022, Per Stirling staff, advisors, and families raised enough funds to provide 7,100 meals! This year, we set our sights to help even more Central Texans and are excited to announce that we exceeded even our own expectations and raised enough funds to pay for 8,350 meals!
In addition, during our company potluck, staff and advisors all brought canned foods and non-perishables to further support our local food bank. Through November’s volunteer initiative to support the Central Texas Food Bank, we feel we made a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.
We are committed to extending our efforts into the upcoming holiday season. In the month of December, our focus shifts towards providing gifts for children and families to bring joy and support to those less fortunate.
