JunePer Stirling Volunteers – Austin Pets Alive!
Throughout the month of May, the staff and advisors at Per Stirling dedicated their volunteer efforts to support one of their favorite organizations, Austin Pets Alive!
Austin takes great pride in being the largest and most enduring “No Kill” city in the country, thanks to the pioneering collaboration between Austin Pets Alive and the city’s municipal shelter, Austin Animal Center. Austin Pets Alive stands out as more than just an ordinary animal shelter, as they continuously develop innovative programs to save the most vulnerable animals from euthanasia, setting an example for others to follow.
One of the notable fundraising events organized by Austin Pets Alive is the annual “Paddle for Puppies” held on Lady Bird Lake. This unique event allows participants to paddle their way to support the Parvo Puppy program. Whether on a Stand-up Paddle Board, canoe, or kayak, people come together to contribute to the cause.
As we eagerly await the release of the 2023 numbers, a look back over the past few years demonstrates their ongoing commitment. In the first quarter of 2022 alone, APA treated 300 puppies, and in 2021, APA’s Parvo ICU successfully treated and saved 963 puppies! Impressive! Per Stirling had several staff members who registered and participated in this enjoyable event, actively making a difference. Furthermore, both the staff and advisors at Per Stirling generously made monetary donations to support Austin Pets Alive’s mission.
If you’re interested in lending a hand to Austin Pets Alive, there are several volunteer options available for you to choose from. During the month of June, our focus will shift towards volunteer efforts related to back-to-school initiatives.
