Per Stirling Volunteers! – Amplify Austin & Ukraine Relief

During the month of March, Per Stirling participated in Central Texas’ biggest day of giving, by supporting Amplify Austin Day 2022, when residents of Austin unite to benefit our fellow Central Texans, as part of the “I Live Here, I Give Here” campaign.  This campaign benefits area non-profit organizations, and is designed to amplify philanthropic giving, and to help build a more united and prosperous community for all.

On Amplify Austin Day, several hundred vetted non-profits receive matching dollars provided by generous sponsors. The more donations received on this day, the more funds an organization is awarded, thus providing essential operating dollars for those working on the front line and serving the most vulnerable in our community.

Per Stirling’s staff and advisors made an impact on Amplify Austin Day 2022, with nearly $3,000 in monetary contributions supporting organizations like RBI Austin, the Central Texas Food Bank, Austin Pets Alive, Ronald McDonald House, Hutto Resource Center, Foundation Communities, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, Out Youth and The Caring Place. Each of our donations are then matched under the Amplify Austin program to maximize their impact.

As the “I Live Here, I Give Here” campaign states, “We all have something to contribute.  Let’s give together and shape the future of our community.”

While this month’s efforts concentrated on serving the local community, we also felt an urgent need to look abroad and to do our part to assist in the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Per Stirling identified verified organizations that are providing humanitarian aid during this horrific time in history. We were able to collectively raise $800 in monetary donations for relief in Ukraine.

For April’s volunteer initiative, we have shifted focus and will endeavor to raise funds for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Texas.
