Per Stirling Volunteers! – BookSpring!

Literacy – the ability to read and write – is the foundation for a child’s success in the world.  A child’s early years are critical in developing lifelong learning potential that set them up for not only their education, but everything else in life.  According to Save the Children, more than 60% of low-income families in the United States have no children’s books in their homes.

Per Stirling is aware of the impact we can have on our children’s future by providing the tools needed to succeed.  For the month of July, Per Stirling chose Bookspring as our community initiative. Bookspring is a non-profit organization that impacts over 100,000 children a year through schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.  Through community support, Bookspring distributed over 185,000 books from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019; and over 105,000 children attended Bookspring events.

Per Stirling donated five large bags of books to Bookpring, collected monetary donations and five of Per Stirling’s employees volunteered to help sort books at the Bookspring location.  Per Stirling is making a difference in our community one organization at a time.
